Ingredients
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 5–7 minutes, until browned. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes, then remove chicken from the skillet.
Reduce heat and add garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds, then stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Return chicken to the skillet skin-side up and spoon some of the sauce over the top.
Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Spoon additional sauce over the chicken before serving.
